Of the autho­rized employ­ees who vot­ed, 94.7 per­cent of the staff of the dioce­san schools and 93.2 per­cent of the staff of the reli­gious institute/public lawyers schools vot­ed in favor of the agree­ments. Open, trans­par­ent and accu­rate com­mu­ni­ca­tion is an impor­tant basis for any nego­ti­a­tion process. In this con­text, this por­tal must be the com­mu­ni­ca­tion plat­form for employ­ees through­out the Catholic edu­ca­tion sys­tem. It con­tains impor­tant gen­er­al infor­ma­tion about com­pa­ny agree­ments and the nego­ti­a­tion process, as well as reg­u­lar updates of the nego­ti­a­tions. This agree­ment applies to work­ers employed in schools, which are part of: the cur­rent com­pa­ny col­lec­tive agree­ments for teach­ers and non-teach­ers offi­cial­ly end­ed and nego­ti­a­tions on replace­ment agree­ments began ear­li­er this year with the Inde­pen­dent Edu­ca­tion Union. Pro­posed com­pa­ny agree­ments must now be sub­mit­ted to the Fair Work Com­mis­sion (FWC) for legal approval. Teach­ers in Queens­land Catholic schools have learned in recent weeks about the High­ly Accom­plished and Lead Teacher (HALT) cer­ti­fi­ca­tion process at infor­ma­tion ses­sions across the state. The salaries and con­di­tions found in the fol­low­ing doc­u­ments are due to union mem­ber­ship efforts in your school and in the inde­pen­dent and Catholic school sec­tors. The vote on the pro­posed new com­pa­ny agree­ments end­ed on Sun­day, June 28, 2020. Approval of the FWC may take some time depend­ing on the com­plex­i­ty of the agree­ments to be reviewed and the work­load of the FWC.
